To be honest, I was expecting a lot more smoke. I followed the instructions for my car to the letter, but I didn’t get a huge series of plumes like a lot of the videos showed. Maybe I have a lot less carbon buildup than I thought?

Maybe it’s just BMW motors? Schaeftt did his 160,000km e39 straight six last month with Seafoam and it barely let out a belch. We were ready for a smoke show and it turned out to be a party popper.

I had no idea they used Chrysler motors, I thought they were all Peugeot/BMW units. That’s just ruined my little anecdote, for shame.

Weird since I have the BS oil consumption problem.

Should have been blowing more smoke than the candidates in Iowa right now. The Stringbean was near Hillary levels when I did it. Now if it was done crankcase obviously no smoke. But PCV or intake line + 15 min soak then 3k rev for 5 minutes would get your Trump levels of smoke.

Nope. Then again, I throw in some injector/fuel system cleaner every 3rd tank and I make sure to give it a couple good WOT pulls a weak to keep the cobwebs cleared out, so maybe I’d already done a good job of keeping buildup to a minimum.
